One of the most popular floors is oak, both red and white. The wooden boards are available in varying widths, but the most popular is the traditional 2 1/4-inch boards.

The portion of the floor past the column is a new addition to an existing home. We matched the existing hardwood and then sanded and finished to make it all blend. 

 
In Most cases, we sand and finish staircases while finishing a floor. We do not build the staircase but recommend Hester Stair and Rail in Fort Payne, 256-997-0300. 

Many homeowners choose hardwood for kitchens because of the easy care and cleanup. We recommend Bona Hardwood Floor cleaner for areas when more cleanup is needed. If no food or other sticky substance is on the floor, use a damp mop or light mist of Bona hardwood floor cleaner. 

Do NOT use oil-based cleaners, which produce a build up on the floor. 

 
Flush mount vents are a popular item. The vents come in assorted sizes and species of wood and can be installed as wood flooring is laid. The vents are even with the floor and finished to match.
